Illusive Dreamscapes Never asked for a dream, Not to curse what is here before me Gifts and graces, it seems, Come with their share of complication I never had all the answers but just the same, I didn't come this far to throw it away Nothing great is meant to be easy Inherent faith or belief, That knowing thyself is the key to, Solving the riddles of life's design and, Finding purpose on this path of uncertainty I never had all the answers but just the same, I didn't come this far to throw it away Nothing great is meant to be easy Never wanted to show a shred of doubt Thoughts of failure looming Fear is a plague that suffocates our hope, Diseases our dreams and sense of self-worth, Oh yes, it's true, Love is the light that will lead the way through I never had all the answers but just the same, I didn't come this far to throw it away Nothing great is meant to be easy

Disclaimer 03:09
Disclaimer Nice to meet you Tell me, where are you from? Will you hate me when it's all over and done? Nice to meet you Somehow I know where you're going Good to know you Nice to meet you Now, Tell me something I've never heard Tell me something plain absurd Tell me that you'll never feel for me 'Cause I got something to say: You know what I need is, Someone who understands, Someone who knows that, I mean what I say and I say what I mean, So, here's the deal friend, Can you handle it? I'm not going to change, Cause my mind is set and you'll never change it! Pleased to meet you Show me who you are I'd like to learn you, but remember, I said this is just for fun Nice to meet you Tell me more about you Will you love me? I think that you better run You know what I need is, Someone who understands, Someone who knows that, I mean what I say and I say what I mean, So, here's the deal friend, Can you handle it? I'm not going to change, Cause my mind is set and you'll never change it! I'm sorry We both played our part You knew the rules of the game, And you knew from the start You knew what I needed You said you understood I'll tell you again that, I mean what I say and I say what I mean You knew the deal friend You couldn't handle it I'm not going to change, 'Cause my mind is set and you'll never change it! No, No, Know

New Plateau 04:09
A New Plateau I've been waiting for it to take me, To another realm of uncertainty Fall away to a distant form of wealth Reaching out for distance from myself A New Plateau I've been yearning for this dichotomy Lift my spirit away from my body Separate for the gift of enlightenment Reaching out for distance from myself A New Plateau Seeking patience to grant me elevation I've been waiting for it to waste me Kill my bias and give me true clarity Let omniscience bewilder my circumstance Free my will on the way to omnipotence Omnipotence in free will A New Plateau

Shedding Cold Stagnance Starting over and shedding new Leaves of change are falling Against the current and growing weak A breath of new life is overdue A breath of new life has long been needed to, Release and relieve all the pressures and stresses Another day is born fresh and pure Nature's depths are unfolding I peer through the glass, ignoring the framework, The image is frozen A cold white blanket masks the underlying intentions and stagnance, But the warmth from above spills over, Shining a new light perspective The picture erases itself into paint smear remanence Although it's blurred and changed it's still ever-presently reminding me When I think I should fall to pieces and break just like the others do, Images of a life awaiting me start to seep through But before I am granted approval to this dream I pursue, I'm compelled by an overwhelming urge and question Like a message of fateful proportion demanding me to choose Between love and fear, there's devotion, something I must prove Just when I think I should fall and break down A place, a feeling, of warmth and protection takes over me, Consumes me

Insight? 06:36
Insight? Take this advice; It comes from a no one, nobody knows Take what you like, and leave what you will; This philosopher's got nothing to gain just thoughts to spill Oh, so many thoughts to spill Those who wander will find a path Those who gander may see A great number can do the math but very few will read between So take this advice; It could lead to nowhere or it could change your life Don't even think twice to let go of all of those inhibitions Get lost in the moment; Lost in the rain Let it all wash away Take this advice and let it sink in; You've got nothing to lose but maybe something to win I'm not a prophet, I'm not a scholar, But I may have some observational insights to offer Those who gamble do take a chance Those who love will bleed Risking nothing yields no failures, But can anyone really taste the fruit without knowing the worth of tending to their seed So take this advice; It could lead to nowhere or it could change your life Don't even think twice to let go of all of those inhibitions Get lost in the moment; Lost in the rain Let it all wash away Take me down I'm taking nothing, so take it or leave

Real Aspirations I will never be all that I could be, For the hopes I have do far exceed my means But nothing's stopping me from dreaming these dreams, No matter how hard or far-fetched they seem to be And I wonder how far? Yet I wonder... How far will I fall from the target? How far from the stars will I falter? How lost will I be when I get where I'm going? Who knows? I will never see all there is to see, For the blind man knows a light that's beyond me Oh, That's not to say he couldn't stand to gain from a man of my ways We are one, but not the same, The beauty is difference All the answers are the same, It's the questions we ask that make the game How far will I fall from the target? How far from the stars will I falter? How lost will I be when I get where I'm going? Who knows? If all the reasons that hold you in place, hold you down Is it the fear of failure or the fear to succeed? When all the signs lead to nowhere, Where do you look for a lead? Look no further than a mirror, Find yourself, Find another way to see How far will I fall from the target? How far from the stars will I falter? How lost will I be when I get where I'm going? Who knows?

Wings Passing By Can you see your light? Given the chance, I know you could fly If you could just realize, wings must be earned, And nothing will come to those who don't try Can you use your light? The world could be yours, but not without a fight In this thing we call life, Everything good comes at a price Can you feel this light? Take it all in and heed this advice; Let go of the past, Your future is bright Time waits for no one, it just passes by Can you hear our cries? Our words of love for you seem spoken by mimes Like music to the deaf or sunsets to the blind, The beauty still exists, but it's up to you to find So take what is there for you need to realize, Intentions are good, but actions can be divine Time waits for no one, it just passes by Know, Time waits for no one I want you to know that I'll be waiting for you And when you're ready, I'll be there I need you to know that love is here for you Patiently, Love waits my friend, My Brother

FS 05:54
FS I know myself well enough to know that I could never write, The song you wanted with the words you deserve Maybe because it's music I have never liked So I guess the question becomes then, When or will I ever? I know it's been said that it's not you, But does that make it me? Maybe it's somewhere in between? Like roads that travel side by side but rarely ever meet When half way just isn't good enough anymore, Tell what does that leave? So you know, this is the closest I will likely ever come, And it's so contradictory... That as I sing your praises, this is somehow still for me In spite of all that, it could never change the facts; You've always been good to me You've given so much and all you ever wanted back, Was the simplest of things But even simple can be complicated, Like the reasons we never made it I know it's been said that it's not you, But does that make it me? Maybe it's somewhere in between? Like roads that travel side by side but rarely ever meet When half way just isn't good enough anymore, Tell what does that leave? You have given me love that I know I don't deserve You have given me laughter, comfort and strength You are smart and beautiful, and you sure as Hell better know, That's something no one can ever take away I know it's been said that it's not you, But does that make it me? Maybe it's somewhere in between?

Ammunition for the Ignorant No one cares to make a sound - So complacently silent Just blank stares, entertainingly glazed over - Conveniently blinded No one spared, no, no one's free, but we think we are though Ignorance doesn't make us innocent None of us are bleeding, so no one seems to care Tell me how it's fair? That others are in need and all we do is, Change the channel, Numb our minds, Ignore it yet another time No one cares to try and understand about our fellow brothers of a foreign land Assume they're evil because that's what our TV told us No one cares their land is being destroyed Who gives a Fuck about genocide? It's not us, so I guess it's somebody else's problem None of us are bleeding, so no one seems to care Tell me how it's fair? That others are in need and all we do is Change the channel, Numb our minds Close our hearts and shut our blinds, All the while, killing the soul of the universe one starving child at a time!!! If no one's in need then there's no one to blame Millions are dying we should all be ashamed The business of war is a man-made machine, To benefit few, consumed and fueled by greed If no enemy, then there's no one to blame If there's no one to fear, then there's no way to take If no enemy, then there's no one to blame If there's no one to fear, then there's no way to take Contrived "Terror" is the tool to manipulate democracies Via media subversions, Amplified to alter our beliefs Saturating our existence with false information and imagery Provide the people with a target they can hate, Thus creating unity No one cares to make a sound - So complacently silent Just blank stares, entertainingly glazed over - Conveniently blinded No one's spared, no, no one's free, We're all ignorant to some degree The only difference is some of us are more guilty Not the ones who are blind, but the one's who can

Kameleon 06:07
Kameleon When you're alone, I wonder, who you are? Do you know? Or was it lost somewhere along the way? When you look in the mirror, who do you see? Lies in symmetry? Covered carefully, I'm sure You're so calculated... Like a chameleon, you take the shape that you need to be You choose a mask to wear as your face, Intentions hidden under Like a chameleon, your colours will change to suit your motive's needs And I just wonder where the line is between real and fake Is there a place you go in your mind to escape, Hide and fabricate? Oh, the truth you weave is so sadistically beautiful And I know there are reasons that made you become so cold and numb, Stripped of sympathy, and no, it's not entirely your fault For, worn is the voice that cries on deaf ears, Alone and full of fears, With eyes burned dry of tears It's no wonder you're so... Like a chameleon, you take the shape that you need to be You choose a mask to wear as your face, Intentions hidden under Like a chameleon, your colours will change to suit your motive's needs And I just wonder where the line is between real and fake Under your scars and your demons, I know I have seen other beauty You have a choice left still to be made I only hope to God you remember how to be pure Forgiveness cannot be a facade

Patient Helpless Waiting… Just Waiting… For the hand to come and lift her soul away I hope the hand is warm I pray for it to be gentle And when the time has come, Please let it be gentle Fair is neither here nor there Time becomes the enemy we befriend A life rests on a trigger, And tears hang on a thread Waiting… Just Waiting… I hope the hand is warm I pray for it to be gentle And when the light has come, Please let it be gentle I hope that it's gentle
